Siwach, Abhinav Background of an IAS 2022 12th Rank Holder Abhinav Siwach, 28, holds the UPSC 2022 12th rank. He is from Fatehabad’s Gaurakhapur village and currently resides in Hisar’s Sector 16-17. Abhinav has previously placed 16th in the DMIS exams. His dream was to become an IAS official, therefore he elected to retake the exam, attaining the 12th rank.
Abhinav previously cleared the Civil Services Exam and is currently a Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Delhi for the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu (Civil) Services (DANICS). He used to be a naib tehsildar in Haryana.
Abhinav’s father, Satbir Siwach, is a DETC in Gurugram, while his uncle is a Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sonipat. His paternal uncle is employed with Hisar Municipal Corporation. Abhinav’s younger sibling is also studying for the Civil Services exam.
In 2016, Abhinav received his B Tech from Delhi Technological University and his MBA from IIM Calcutta. He worked as a management consultant and investment banker for a number of companies.
After completing his MBBS in Kolkata in 2018, Abhinav worked for a commercial firm until being selected for the Danika Service in 2020.
