Gaurav Kaushal has left the Ministry of Defense after 12 years after passing the Civil Services Examination of UPSC. It was announced three days ago on its YouTube channel. Along with this, Gaurav Kaushal has also shared his plan after leaving the civil service.
Gaurav Kaushal passed the Civil Services Examination of UPSC in the year 2012. He got 38th rank in the country in the second list. Then became an officer of Group A service of UPSC Indian Defense Estates Service. The first took place in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh on the post of CEO (Ministry of Defence). The Indian Defense Estate Service is a civil service in the Government of India. The job of IDES is to look after military land and make administrative arrangements for the Cantonment Board.
Giving information about leaving the civil service on his YouTube channel, Gaurav Kaushav said that along with passing the civil service of UPSC in the year 2012, he had decided that ‘I should not retire in this job at the age of 60’. I will take any big step before that.
Now I will fulfill my dream by resigning from civil service. My dream is that the aspirant preparing for IAS, IPS in any corner of the country should not feel helpless due to any reason. This means that Gaurav Kaushal can also bring an education platform for those preparing for UPSC like former IAS Roman Saini.
Gaurav Kaushal took shocking decisions earlier also
After taking the decision to leave civil service, Gaurav Kaushal said that ‘I have taken big risky decisions for the first time in my life. One of them is to leave B.Tech in computer science from BITS Pilani in just one year.
Did not join IIT Delhi despite getting a seat after clearing IIT-JEE twice. Had also left the chance of placement in engineering college.
Even after passing SSG CGL, opportunity came for government job, but did not join and left civil service after seven years of service.
What will Gaurav Kaushal do after leaving the civil service?
Gaurav Kaushal told that after leaving civil service, he has come up with a mentorship program for those preparing for UPSC. However, for a long time, Gaurav Kaushal has been mentoring UPSC aspirants through his Youtube channel. Android App has been launched in the name of Gaurav Kaushal. Seats are limited on a first come, first served basis.
Former civil servant Gaurav Kaushal is a resident of Panchkula, Haryana. He did engineering in electronics from Punjab Engineering College. Along with studies, I had prepared for UPSC.
Passed UPSC in the year 2012 without coaching. Apart from CEO in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, he also served as Defense Estate Officer in Chandigarh and Jalandhar.
