1. What was your role at Oracle? (Machine Learning)
Sir/Ma’am, my role involved applying machine learning techniques to solve business and system problems. This included:
- Building and deploying ML models
- Data cleaning, feature engineering and validation
- Working with cross-functional teams to integrate models into products
- Monitoring performance and improving accuracy
- Ensuring ethical and responsible data use
I focused on problem-solving, collaboration and practical application of AI models rather than just research.
2. What is the difference between human and machine decision-making?
Human decision-making
- Context-sensitive
- Ethical & emotional judgment
- Can weigh social values
- Flexible & intuitive
Machine decision-making
- Relies on data patterns
- Fast and consistent
- No moral/ethical understanding
- Can be biased if data is biased
Conclusion: Machines assist — humans decide.
So ethics cannot be coded?
Ethical rules can be coded, but ethical judgment cannot be fully coded because:
- Ethics changes with society and culture
- Situations are complex
- Machines lack moral consciousness
So AI should work under human ethical oversight.
3. Can machines replace humans?
Machines can replace humans in repetitive, data-driven tasks, but not in leadership, empathy-based, ethical, creative and diplomatic roles.
Future is human-machine collaboration, not replacement.
4. Is climate change a hoax?
No Sir/Ma’am. Climate change is scientifically proven based on:
- Rising global temperatures
- Melting glaciers
- Extreme weather events
- Rising sea levels
It is supported by the IPCC and global scientific consensus.
5. What is the age of Earth? Isn’t climate change part of Earth’s natural ice-age cycle?
- Earth is about 4.5 billion years old.
Natural climate cycles exist — but current warming is unusually rapid and strongly linked to human activity, especially greenhouse gas emissions.
So both natural cycles and human activity play roles — but current change is largely anthropogenic.

6. Are you a thinker or over-thinker?
Sir/Ma’am, I try to be a balanced thinker — analysing issues carefully but also taking timely decisions. Overthinking may delay action, so I consciously prioritise clarity and execution.
7. Explain the quote: Overthinking leads to governance paralysis
It means too much analysis without decision-making delays policy action, causing loss of public trust and welfare. Administrators must balance thoughtful analysis with timely execution.
8. So is overthinking bad for governance?
Yes — if it delays action.
But thinking is essential to avoid errors.
So the ideal approach is informed thinking + timely implementation.
9. What is deepfake? What are its socio-economic impacts?
Deepfake = AI-generated fake audio/video mimicking real people.
Impacts
- Misinformation & propaganda
- Election manipulation
- Blackmail & harassment
- Reputation damage
- Fraud & financial scams
- Erosion of trust in media
10. How can deepfake be regulated?
- Strengthen IT Rules & legal provisions
- Mandatory watermarking & traceability
- Platform accountability
- Public awareness
- Quick takedown mechanisms
- Technological detection tools
- Strict penalties for misuse
Balance must be maintained with free speech rights.

11. India reported maximum tiger deaths recently — your opinion?
Higher reported deaths may mean:
- Better monitoring and reporting
- Habitat stress & poaching
- Road/rail accidents
- Territorial fights due to increasing tiger population
Focus should be on habitat connectivity, anti-poaching, and community engagement.
12. Apart from ecological corridors, what else can reduce human-wildlife conflict?
- Early-warning systems
- Compensation schemes
- Community awareness
- Wildlife-proof fencing
- Eco-sensitive land-use planning
- Relocation from critical zones
- Use of technology like drones & GPS collars
13. What is your opinion on the Cheetah Project?
It is a conservation-reintroduction experiment aimed at restoring lost grassland ecology.
Success requires:
- Long-term ecological planning
- Disease control
- Community participation
- Scientific monitoring
It’s a learning process — cautious optimism is needed.
14. Should India have taken Asian cheetahs instead of African?
Ideally yes — Asian cheetah would be ecologically closer, but Iran has very few left and couldn’t provide them.
So African cheetahs were chosen as genetically similar and viable for reintroduction.

15. How has reflective diary writing helped you and your family?
It has helped me:
- Reflect calmly on my actions
- Improve self-awareness
- Manage stress
- Track goals and gratitude
- Improve communication with family
It encourages empathy and emotional balance.
16. What human-resource challenges did you face at Oracle?
- Cross-functional coordination
- Meeting deadlines
- Balancing innovation with stability
- Diversity in teams
- Communication across time-zones
I learnt teamwork, conflict-resolution and leadership.
17. Why do humans fight wars while also promoting peace?
Because human emotions include:
- Fear, insecurity, ego → conflict
- Empathy, compassion → peace
Wars arise from power, identity & resource competition.
Peace arises from cooperation and shared humanity.
Administration must channel positive emotions toward harmony.
18. If you could choose one district for DM posting — which and why?
Choose any state / your home state and say:
- I prefer a district with developmental challenges like tribal / aspirational districts
Because I want to: - Improve service delivery
- Promote education & health
- Build trust with communities
(This shows motivation — not comfort-seeking.)

Examples (pick 2–3):
- G20 Presidency & Delhi Declaration
- Chandrayaan-3 success
- Digital Public Infrastructure expansion
- India-Middle East-Europe Corridor announcement
- Global climate commitments at COP28
20. One development in forests
Examples:
- Amendments to Forest Conservation laws
- Tiger census developments
- Cheetah conservation updates
- Community-based forest management initiatives
21. Few global developments of significance
- Russia-Ukraine war continuation
- Israel–Gaza conflict
- Global inflation & economic slowdown
- AI regulation debates worldwide
- Climate agreements at COP28
22. Upcoming major developments in India in 2024
Examples:
- General Elections
- Expansion of semiconductor & tech initiatives
- Infrastructure & green hydrogen push
- DPI & digital governance expansion
23. Five places where elections are happening in 2024
Examples (many others possible):
- India
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Russia
- Pakistan
- Mexico
- Indonesia
(You can name any 5 confidently.)
24. How can deepfake impact elections? Give one example
Deepfake can fake speeches or videos of leaders, misleading voters — for example, a fabricated video showing a leader making hate remarks just before elections, causing polarisation.
25. Apart from deepfake, what are two other challenges for Indian elections?
- Misinformation & fake news
- Money power
- Criminalisation of politics
- Voter intimidation in some pockets
- Cybersecurity threats (Any two are fine.)
