Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on March 6, 1978, Grusha Kapoor was the daughter of renowned writer and director Ranjit Kapoor. Her father gained notoriety as a screenwriter for movies such as Lajja and The Legend of Bhagat Singh. Grusha started her career in television, doing supporting parts. After playing Devyani Seth in the 1995 television series Tara, she gained notoriety. After starring as Lalita Devi in Star Pus’ television series Kehta Hai Dil, she became well-known.
