Renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj is a native of Mysore, Karnataka. Arun hails from a five-generation family of renowned sculptors in Mysore. The nation’s honorable prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has also acknowledged Arun’s talent. When it comes to making the most out of the possibilities that come his way, Arun is resourceful. This is the way that demand for his artwork has grown throughout the nation’s states.
Arun Yogiraj grew up in Mysore, Karnataka, where his family are sculptors. Both his grandpa, Basavanna Shilpi, and father, Yogiraj, were well-known sculptors. Arun had a natural flair for carving even as a young child. He worked for a short time at a private company and earned an MBA, but his love of sculpture kept drawing him back. He has been committed to his carving career since 2008.
Arun became well-known for his amazing creations, which included a thirty-foot statue of Subhash Chandra Bose that was erected behind India Gate next to the Amar Jawan Jyoti. With support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this statue was created as an homage to Bose on the 125th anniversary of his birth. To show her appreciation, Arun gave the Prime Minister a tiny statue of Bose.
Arun had previously created a number of statues and idols, including a 12-foot monument of Adi Shankaracharya at Kedarnath, a 21-foot figure of Hanuman in Mysore, a 15-foot statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and more. He received accolades for his work from several groups, including the Mysore royal family.
