UPSC: Father runs a grocery store, son gets IAS on first try without coaching and 8–10 hours of constant study


Ayush Goyal, who lives at Vishwakarma Gate, Mandoli Road, UPSC Delhi, became well-known when he passed the IAS exam on his first try. Ayush did this well on his own, without any help. His dad has a food store.


Aayush’s goal was to become an IAS, and he did so by flying on his very first try. Ayush Goyal, who lives on Mandoli Road Vishwakarma Gate, got the 171st spot on the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) test. Ayush fulfilled his dream by taking the UPSC test on his very first try.

Because of this, everyone in the house and the neighbourhood is happy. When neighbours heard that Ayush had been chosen for UPSC, they came and went throughout the day to wish him well. Area MLA Jitendra Mahajan also went to his house to wish him well with a bouquet of flowers.


This is dad’s food store.


Subhash Chandra Goyal, Ayush’s dad, runs a food store. Mother Meena Goyal works around the house. Ayush went to the government school in Delhi called Government Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, Nand Nagri. He studied from the University of Delhi’s Hansraj College. Ayush said that he decided to take the UPSC test to become an IAS after watching motivational videos on the internet while he was getting his MBA at IIM Kozhikode in Kerala.


8–10 hours of nonstop studying


He has been living at home for the past year and a half to prepare for UPSC. He did this without even getting any training. Studied for eight to ten hours every day by reading books and watching online videos. He was successful on his first try. The whole family is very happy about this. He didn’t think he’d get to his goal so quickly. But the test was given with the idea that it had to be passed all at once.


Tushar Sharma passed the UPSC exam for the fourth time.


Tushar Sharma lives in Baldev Park, and for the last five years, he has been studying for UPSC. On his fourth try, he finally reached his goal by getting the 340th spot. Anjali Sharma, who is Tushar’s mother, is the head of the Municipal Corporation School. Father Ajay Kumar Sharma works for BSES as an Assistant Vice President.

Tushar said that his number will be in IRS. He is very happy, because he wanted to be a big government figure. He went to IIT Bombay to learn about engineering. He worked at Ola Cap Company as the Associate Programme Manager.


He used to work for the Government of Karnataka, which put him in touch with many high-ranking government officials. After meeting these people, he decided to take the UPSC test. He quit his job in 2018 and started getting ready for UPSC. RWA president Shravan Dixit and treasurer Mayank Vashisht, who live nearby, went to Tushar’s house to praise him on his success.
