To pass in any exam, it is very important to have patience. Priyanka Kumari Bhargava, a resident of Kalyanpura, Shrimadhopur, who became an IAS officer by getting All India Rank 212 in UPSC exam 2022, also achieved success after a long struggle. It took a long time of more than 5 years for Priyanka to get success in UPSC.


He failed four times in UPSC, but he did not give up and continued working till he became an IAS officer. Priyanka told that she was disappointed many times, but along with father Dalip Kumar and Tau Subhash, her teachers motivated her to move forward. In this way he completed his journey of UPSC.

Priyanka is originally from Kalyanpura village of Srimadhopur. His father Dilip Kumar retired from BSF as head constable and started trading in Delhi. Priyanka did her schooling from Kalyanpura’s government school till class VIII. After this Nangloi of Delhi shifted.

Stayed in Delhi, did B.Com and started preparing for UPSC along with M.Com post graduation. Didn’t get success in pre exam twice. Overall, he failed in the UPSC exam in the first four attempts. After this, Priyanka reached the interview in the fifth attempt.

Finally, in the fifth attempt, the name came in the final list and his dream came true. Priyanka has two younger brothers and an elder sister.

Received support from family and teachers


Priyanka’s father Dalip Kumar said that from the eighth grade itself, the teachers of the government school in Kalyanpura had recognized her potential. After coming home, he used to motivate Priyanka to move forward in the field of studies. The family members supported a lot.

Whenever Priyanka used to come on holidays, the teachers of school PTI Ishwar Singh, Tarachand Meena, Rajendra Kumar, Deendayal Punjabi, Gopal Verma etc. used to motivate her to become an IAS officer. With the motivation of all these, Priyanka fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS officer by securing 212th rank.

Don’t be afraid of failure, success comes with continuous hard work: Priyanka
Priyanka, who became an IAS, said that one should not panic on failure in the UPSC exam and should work hard continuously.

If you stay in touch with your close friends and family in case of failure, you will feel positive and motivated. There is no guarantee of success in UPSC but when you try continuously then you will get success.

 Childhood was spent in the village. Studied till eighth standard from government school. Determined to become an IAS, saw failure after failure, but did not give up. Didn’t stop working hard. The result is in front of all of us.

This success story is of Priyanka Bhargava. Priyanka Bhargava has secured 212th rank in the Civil Services Examination 2022 of the Union Public Service Commission. She is originally from Kaliapura village in Srimadhopur sub-division of Sikar district of Rajasthan.

Talking to One India, Priyanka Bhargava’s uncle Subhash Chandra Bhargava told that there is an atmosphere of happiness in the whole family when the daughter is selected in UPSC. Many congratulations are being received. Priyanka’s father Dilip Kumar has retired from BSF as a head constable.

Priyanka did her schooling up to class eight from a government school in village Kalyanpura. After this, Nangloi had come to Delhi with Tauji. Did B.Com and M.Com from here. Started preparing for UPSC during PG itself.

Priyanka tried her luck five times in UPSC. Twice did not even pass in pre and twice failed in main examination. This time the final selection has been done. Priyanka says that UPSC is cracked by the stubbornness of never giving up.

Lagachar was definitely disappointed after failing four times, but did not let the courage break. The family also supported a lot. Every time I learned something from failure and kept changing my strategy. The result was that UPSC got success in 2022.
