The little town of Lehra in Rajasthan’s Sangrur district is home to 25-year-old Robin Bansal. While his mother stays at home, Robin’s father teaches economics. After completing his education, Robin applied to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi by taking the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). The boy’s courage and perseverance allowed him to obtain his desired entrance to the IIT.

Robin was hired by a private company for a high-paying position after graduating from IIT with a B.Tech. He received an annual salary of Rs. 35 lakhs. But Robin seemed to have other ideas developing in his head.

He hoped to be chosen for a position with the government rather than living a corporate life. Robin left his firm and began training for the UPSC CSE exams within a year after getting the private position.
