Tirupati boy Dr GVS Pavan Datta secured 22nd rank in the UPSC civil services examination, the results of which were declared on Tuesday. Datta achieved the feat in his first attempt and that too without any coaching. Altogether, seven candidates from the two Telugu states have made it to the top 100. The next topper of Andhra Pradesh after Datta is Maliye Sri Pranav from Guntur, who bagged 60th rank.
The 243rd-place finisher was Kasiraju Pavana Sai Sahithya of Visakhapatnam. Bollipalli Vinutna, an Ongole girl, placed 462nd. She previously held a faculty position in an Andhra Loyola College course sponsored by the Lakshmaiah Academy in Vijayawada.
The animal husbandry department’s assistant director is her father, Dr. Ravi Ballipalli.Challa Kalyani, who was chosen for AP Group-I services and is presently serving a probationary period as an assistant treasury officer, received a rank of 285. Rallpalli Vasanth Kumar, who had a 170th place finish in the civil services exam in 2020, increased his position by 13 spots and now holds 157th place.The older brother of Vasanth, Jagat Sai, achieved the 32nd position in his fifth attempt to win the nation’s highest administrative position (IAS) in the same 2020 exam.
“I self-prepared for the preliminary and main exams and used a few coaching facilities in Delhi and other locations to conduct mock interviews for the personality test. I’m hoping for an Andhra Pradesh cadre, the 24-year-old doctor stated. Datta, a gifted student since childhood, received a free education from corporate educational institutes up through the intermediate level. He earned a spot in the MBBS programme at Sri Venkateswara Medical College in 2014 by placing 60th in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET.
He credited his mother Lalitha Kumari, a physical sciences teacher at a public high school in Railway Kodur, for a large portion of his accomplishment. Datta was encouraged to follow his vocation by his father Venkateswaralu, an AO with the LIC in Rajampet.
“My mum knows how to push kids towards excellence because she is a teacher. Her advice was quite helpful to me as I was getting ready.I was motivated by the success tales and inspirational films of the outstanding services provided by various officers across the nation in addition to my enthusiasm for public service. These kept me inspired throughout my preparation process,”
In the final UPSC Civils 2022 selection list, Dr. Pavan Datta, a physician who attended SV Medical College in Tirupati, received the number 22 position. He has not participated in any civil service training. In Balalatha madam’s institute, he has participated in a few simulated interviews.
His mother teaches at a public school in Railway Kodur, and his father works for LIC in the Annamayya district. He attended Gudivada for his tenth grade education and Narayana Jr. College in Hyderabad for his undergraduate studies. A software engineer is his younger brother.On May 23, the civils 2022 results were announced, and the final list included at least 50+ candidates from Telugu states. Uma Harathi, who finished third, is from Narayanpet.
