Jammu, May 20: Senior IAS officer Naveen Choudhary has been moved to Mizoram exactly one month after his home in Gandhi Nagar was searched by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
On Friday, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs told five IAS officers and one IPS officer, including Navin Kumar Choudhary and M Raju, that they were being moved right away.


Choudhary, who was part of the joint AGMUT corps, was sent to Mizoram, and M Raju was sent to Arunachal Pradesh, based on an order from MHA.


After the Jammu and Kashmir government asked India’s top investigation agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to look into the bribery claim against former Governor Satya Pal Malik, searches were done on April 21 at 14 locations all over the country.


In this case, the CBI has opened two investigations. In the two cases, the agency has brought charges against Reliance General Insurance Company, which is owned by Anil Ambani, as well as officials from Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd (CVPPPL).


The CBI went to the homes of senior IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir Navin Choudhary, former officers of Chenab Valley Projects building Limited, and a building company in Jammu, New Delhi, Bihar, and Mumbai.
Naveen Choudhary is the Principal Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department at the moment.

Raids were done at the homes and offices of the suspects in Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, Trivandrum (Kerala), and Darbhanga (Bihar), which included private companies, the Chairman, the Managing Director, and the Directors of CVPPPL.
On the request of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, the CBI opened two different investigations into allegations of wrongdoing in the awarding of the contract for the J&K Employees Health Care Insurance Scheme to a private company and the release of Rs. 60 crore in 2017-18.


The J&K government has also asked the CBI to look into how a contract for civil works on the Kiru Hydro Electric Power Project (HEP) was given to a private business in 2019 for about Rs. 2200 crore.
\On October 17, 2021, the governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik, accused “Ambani” and “a senior RSS functionary” of corruption. Malik was the Governor of J&K before Article 370 was taken away.

He said that when he was governor, he got two files, one about “Ambani” and the other about a “RSS functionary.”
“One of the secretaries told me that these are dirty deals, but he can get Rs 150 crore each time. I told him that I had brought five kurta-pajamas with me to Jammu and Kashmir and that was all I would take with me when I left. Malik said, “I told Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and he told me that there should be no leniency when it comes to corruption.”
