Jagrati Awasthi IAS Biography

Jagrati Awasthi IAS Biography

Name- Jagrati Awasthi
Rank – 02
A lot of confusion is there with regards to coaching institutes i had joined during my preparation.

GS Classroom coaching:- Vajiram and Ravi (joined August 2019 but incomplete due to COVID disruption)

Sociology optional :- classroom coaching, at Vajiram and Ravi ( worst experience of entire journey) (discontinued due to COVID disruption )

Unacademy- Mrunal Sir’s Economy Course (2019)

GS Mains test series:- Vision IAS
Essay test series:- NONE
Ethics test series:- NONE
Sociology Test Series- Triumf IAS

Only Interview Guidance Programme:-

  • Vajirao and Reddy (not very useful)
  • Unacademy (okayish)
  • Chahal (valuable feedback and good questions)
  • IAS BABA (useful one on one with Mohan Sir)
  • KSG (overall useful)
  • Baliyan IAS (not useful)
  • Classic Academy (not useful)
  • Shankar IAS academy (not useful)
  • ALS (not useful)
  • IAS GURUKUL(good questions and feedback and support )
    -BYJUS( okayish)
    -Raus ( useful feedback)

Except KSG, Vajirao and Raus, all were online taken from my own home.

Reasons behind so many interviews was the belief of not leaving any loophole and also as the interviews were postponed, I wanted to keep practicing to speak. And also most of them are free.

Online Free platforms frequently used- Only IAS, Sleepy Classes, Civilsdaily, IAS BABA TLP Answer writing series

Most coachings claiming results are on the basis of these Mock interviews.

Taking clue from other toppers , I also thought of sharing this info through your channel

Also a brief intro about me

B.Tech- Electrical Engineering (NIT Bhopal), 2017
Engineer- BHEL, Bhopal, 2017 to 2019
June 2019- took 1st attempt while working at BHEL and couldn’t clear.
July 2019- left the job and started preparing
August 2019- joined coaching in Delhi as mentioned above
March 2020- COVID disruption led to coaching being closed and I moved to Bhopal
March 2020 to September 2021- prepared from home in Bhopal and utilised online test series.

This is my marksheet

Jagrati Awasthi IAS Sociology Optional Notes

  1. This is the scanned copy of maps that I made during preparation. I have tried to scan them properly but if something is not legible, please check with Atlas.
  2. Map no. 9 is scanned upside down. Please adjust the page.
  3. I divided India’s map into various states and then did the mapping work (most physical features)
  4. If u have time, try doing mapping on your own, it becomes easy to remember )

A Disclaimer
I joined Unacademy in 2019 for around 3 months only, specifically for Mrunal Sir’s Economy course. They allowed such monthly subscription at that time.

No need to join specifically , you may share handouts with friends who had enrolled previously 😊

Wherever I have mentioned Tamil Nadu Board Book for history portions , it is the old edition.

This is totally a trash.
Remember, UPSC CSE is an exam and not a matter of life.
There are many professions and it is one of them.
Preparing for UPSC is just like other exams and one needs to be balanced in approach. Race for new material, complete isolation and other stuff are simply myths.

Stop projecting exam as an ultimate test of capability and the toppers as highly intelligent human beings.
Civil Servants are as good as others like dancer, painter, singer, lawyer, doctor or journalist or anybody else for that matter.
I think it is high time to realise this and stop giving too much of importance to the exams or the toppers.

Cherish life as it comes to us 😊😊

And wherever you decide to go, just give your 100 percent. Giving our best is the most important , be it any field 😊😊😊😊😊

Also, I will try to scan and send my notes ASAP instead of giving these gyanπŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Wishes to students by Jagrati Awasthi IAS

Hi everyone!
The CSE Results are expected anytime soon.
I very well remember being in the same place on September 24, 2021.
The uncertainty and anxiety at this moment is natural.
Remember it is an exam and you have done your bit. Brave up to face the outcome and accept it gracefully.
Believe me it is just one of the exams and if not this time, then next attempt or even something different.
At this moment all this might appear greater than life but believe me it is not. Life is so dynamic that whether you clear or do not clear, new things start coming up. The success in this exam is not a guarantee of happy life.
There is more to life than an exam.
All the very Best. Keep working towards a better world wherever destiny takes you.

Good Luck 🀞

Btw
Also keep reading for Prelims in the meantime. I know it’s hard to concentrate amid such stress and anxiety but one has no choice.
Keep yourself distracted from this pressure by reading a bit.
