Bhumi Srivastava, daughter of MP’s senior journalist Shivkumar Vivek, has been selected in UPSC exam 2022. He did his schooling from Central School Bhopal and passed 12th standard and did Master of Science (MSc) from Banaras Hindu University.

Bhumi Srivastava’s All India ranking is 304. Bhumi told that the best part of UPSC preparation till the result was the interview. My interview was taken by the chairman of UPSC. Had a good discussion with him for about 30 minutes. We discussed many issues related to environment, education and country.


This was Bhumi Srivastava’s second attempt. The special thing is that he never did any coaching. Self studied for two years. Studied from standard books and gave online mock tests. She says that the world of internet has made everything easy. In whatever topic there was a problem, I used to understand it online on YouTube. Used to prepare by writing the essay. Separately prepared for the interview. My father Shiv Kumar Vivek (Journalist) and mother Anjana Srivastava have been my biggest support in this journey.


I think before preparing for UPSC everyone should think why they want to do it because it is the toughest exam. In this you cannot read by tying yourself in hours. Your basic concept should be clear. If the goal is clear then you can easily cross it.
