Shubham, a former Delhi Public School (DPS) student from Bokaro, achieved All India Rank 41 in the UPSC test. Shubham was a 2018-batch student, according to DPS Bokaro principal A S Gangwar, and his success is significant not just for the school and himself, but also for the district of Jharkhand.
Shubham, the son of Dinesh Kumar, lives in the Madhubani (Bihar) district’s Khutauna hamlet. He enrolled in the school after graduating from Purnia Vidya Vihar in 2016. Shubham graduated with honours from the CBSE class 12 exam in 2018. He is currently in Delhi studying for the UPSC exam. “The healthy competitive environment in Bokaro, as well as the efficient guidance of teachers, have played an important role in my success,” he stated.

Shubham Kumar, a Vidya Vihar School Purnea student, earned the All India Topper in the UPSC test of 2020. On the other side, another student from the same Vidya Vihar School, Shubham Kumar, has brought accolades to Purnia as well as his village of Madhubani district’s Khutauna by securing 41st position in All India in the UPSC examination. Today, the director and principle, together with school trustee Rajesh Kumar Mishra, visited Shubham’s village and congratulated him. Shubham stated on this occasion that he attended Vidya Vihar Residential School in Purnia from class 6 to class 10. He then travelled to Bokaro. Then he went to Rajhans College in Delhi to study. While there, he studied for the UPSC, and he is overjoyed to have received the 41st rank. I hope to one day serve my country. He also stated that consistent practise is critical for success.

Shubham Kumar’s father teaches in middle school. Mother is a stay-at-home mom. The parents also expressed their joy at their son’s accomplishment, saying that he should become a messiah for the poor and needy and serve the country. This is his desire.

Shubham Kumar, a Meerut local, was not a particularly bright student. He received a 58 percent in 10th grade. In the 12th, the figure was also 67 percent. Shubham had earned the stamp of an average student in this way. Despite receiving mediocre grades in school, Shubham never gave up and has now passed the UPSC with 41st rank.

Shubham’s father is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker, thus he was given every opportunity to learn. Shubham lacked coaching resources, so he gathered study materials from the internet. Shubham stated that when he learned about the free coaching programme offered by Sanskrit Sansthan, he travelled from Meerut to Lucknow to prepare. The Test series was quite beneficial in this situation.

Don’t be discouraged by low grades – Shubham Shubham, an Excise and Customs officer, adds, “Percentages don’t matter.” What is important is how well you studied for competitive tests. There is no reason to be dismayed if you have poor grades in school. One should concentrate on the aim. It is also critical to balance study and leisure. All that is required is effective time management and cooperation between study and athletics.
